Biotechnology Patent Searches

For projects requiring nucleic acid and protein sequence searching, Cardinal IP searches GenomeQuest and STN databases in addition to our standard review of US and foreign patent and non-patent literature databases.  Our non-patent literature research covers PubMed and Medline, and ScienceDirect, as well as free databases such as Google, Google Scholar, and freepatents online. We efficiently search nucleotide and amino acid sequences using different algorithms including BLAST, fragment and motif searching, and we can limit the results to a particular percent identity of the target or query sequence. Electronic filtering of result sets includes, but is not limited to, priority dates, inventor names, keywords and organisms.

Our clients include biotech companies, law firms, chemical companies, and pharmaceutical companies.
