Matthew comes to Cardinal with experience in both patent prosecution and patent litigation. With extensive knowledge of the process and excellent client relation skills, he is well-suited to follow the project through to completion.

Prior to joining Cardinal, Matthew worked at Wood Phillips as a patent attorney. His background also includes account management for Abbott Laboratories.

Matthew earned his J.D. at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, with a concentration in business transactions, and his B.S. in Cellular Biology from the University of Wisconsin. Currently, he is working on an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law at The John Marshall Law School and plans to enter the Master of Biotechnology program at the University of Wisconsin.

He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Also, Matthew is a member of the Wisconsin State Bar and has sat for the Illinois State Bar exam.

His professional affiliations include the American Bar Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, The Wisconsin Intellectual Property Law Association, the Michigan Intellectual Property and the Illinois Intellectual Property Association.
